  • Aaron Barker

    MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

I’ve been coaching youth soccer for eight years. For Condors, I am currently Coaching the G08, and Assistant Coach for the B12S. I also coach the girls at Judkins Middle School and assist with the Varsity girls at AG High.

I grew up playing competitive soccer through High School, and as an adult I’ve played in various rec leagues. I love all outdoor activities, but mountain biking is my favorite activity. I am co-owner of a local business Voler, that makes cycling apparel in Grover Beach.

My coaching philosophy is simple, I want the girls to progress in their soccer skills, build friendships, and have a positive experience with playing the sport, so they can be lifelong athletes.

With over a decade of coaching experience and 20+ years as a player that included full time professional status in his homeland of England.

After his soccer career in England, he moved out to Los Angeles where for almost a decade he passed on his experience and game knowledge to hundreds of young athletes to discover and develop their potential and passion for the game.

His stateside coaching work in the game has seen him work in developing AYSO regional coaching, designing and leading soccer programs and camps (in and outside of California), coaching both boys and girls teams of all ages both club and High School as well as men’s Collegiate level. He currently has former players he’s worked with involved with professional clubs in either playing or coaching capacities as well as payers that are currently on both men’s and women’s D1 programs.

Chris brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to his coaching role. He understands what it takes to compete at the high levels of youth club soccer and instills the mindset and values of this in his players. Under his guidance players develop not only their technical skills and tactical knowledge/game IQ, but also their mental toughness, work ethic, and team spirit.

  • Matt Carinio

    GIRLS DIRECTOR OF COACHING

I began my soccer career as a youth player in Ventura in the mid 70’s where I developed my passion for the game and continued to play competitively into highschool. I later became a coach for multiple AYSO and club teams in San Luis Obispo for over a decade before leading the inaugural three seasons of the Laguna Middle School girls soccer program. For the last four years, I’ve been responsible for the Arroyo Grande High School girls soccer program and Varsity head coach, most recently being named Mountain League Coach of the Year for 2022. I’ve been a part of Condor’s FC since 2021 and enjoy every moment working with players, teams and coaches at all ages.

My coaching philosophy is to create an environment that focuses on player development, competitiveness and accountability that inspires our athletes to continue their soccer journey wherever that may take them.
